Spirit in Art

Spirit in Art Creativity School, the creativity sanctuary where expression, mindfulness and mysticism meet.

Art is fundamental to our society and it is our imaginations that create societies.
Classes are designed to enhance brain development in young people and retrieve capacities in adults who wish to ignite their full selves.

From Natalie Krasnostein, Director
I am passionate about creative process and its capacity to bring us into alignment with the highest good for ourselves and all beings. This is the vision for the school.

This intention for this year is to open for classes, exhibitions, spirituality & mindfulness, ‘The Salon’ with salon hostesses, performances. discos, dinners, The “Inner Britney’ workshop, Delving in the Zohar, a third generation post-Holocaust working through-program. Women’s work. Men’s work. A space focusing on creating new narratives toward freeing the patterns that prevent us from fully being who we are.

Asking ‘what can we make? what do you want to create today?’ can lead us to feel we can really make a difference in our worlds starting with local - in our skins and bodies first, toward a vision for the globe. As is said - the change starts with us – such a great contradiction to the hopelessness that may arise.

I will be facilitating adults and kids in a program I have been conceiving over time –a multimodal process using painting, dance, drama, writing, creative therapies - drawing on my experience and training in psychology, education, performing arts, visual arts, and a devoted and alive dance practice. I am currently completing a PhD looking at transformation through creative process, which allows me to refine my own thinking, keep alive my arts practice and be connected to the extraordinary work in the field that is blossoming in the wider world.

I gratefully have on board three dear teachers for our launch, working in their areas of passion and expertise – Shelley Krycer teaching art, Rabbi Gabbi and Aviad Sar-Shalom teaching Torah. I am looking forward to more programs for all ages, more teachers sharing their gifts.

The name ‘Spirit in Art’ was conceived by my beautiful mother, the late ZsuZsi Hartman, who was an artist, art educator and an incredible example to me as someone who’s life work made a real difference. I am grateful to stand on her shoulders, to have had her as my mother, grateful for the gifts I have received.

I am opening the door and welcoming you to support The Creativity School by booking into classes, visiting, running something, sharing the vision, and asking “what do I want to create today?’

With love,
NK
